Business Case Handler

We are looking for an experienced administrator to join our thriving mortgage and protection advisory firm within our administration team. This is a permanent position offering an annual salary, dependent on proven experience. It is a unique position offering an excellent platform for you to develop your career further. Previous experience and knowledge within the mortgage industry is preferred, but not essential. The purpose of this role is for you to provide assistance within an expanding administration team, by means of full administrative and back up support to our Mortgage Consultant's to a very high standard. You will be responsible for a high volume of mortgage cases at any one time, therefore the ability to multitask, prioritise and work well under pressure is key. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Dealing with day-to-day client, provider and lender enquiries.
  • Preparing client files for meetings; which will include the request of mortgage illustrations, protection and conveyancing quotations and the arrangement of surveys.
  • Submitting mortgage and protection applications.
  • Regular liaison with lenders and providers to obtain updates on applications and proactively progress the mortgages through to offer, ensuring our clients are kept updated and reassured during the entire process.
  • Inputting new client data onto a back-office system and maintaining our client files.
  • Raising invoices to clients and other associates to ensure the payments of all cases.
  • Arrangement of client meetings for the Mortgage Consultants.
  • Dealing with incoming emails, post and telephone calls.
  • Effective management of your own diary systems, to ensure workload is carried out in a timely manner.
We are looking for an individual attributing a personable, adaptable and hardworking nature who will be able to hit the ground running. You will be working as part of a growing team, in a very busy office environment, therefore you must possess communication skills and be a great team player, as the right team fit is paramount to us. The processing of letters and invoices will be populated within Microsoft Word and Excel, therefore experience using these programs is crucial. The back-office system used is Intelligent Office, previous experience using this system would be great, but again not essential, as full training will be provided. The working hours of this position are Monday to Friday, 8:45AM - 17:30PM. Our office is located in Taunton; Midas House, 2 Heron Gate Office Park, Hankridge Way, Taunton, Somerset, TA1 2LR. Mortgage Paraplanner to Company Director

OVF requires an experienced mortgage paraplanner to work alongside a highly successful mortgage broker who is currently completing a large volume of residential mortgage per month. This is a permanent position offering an annual salary, dependent on proven experience. It is a unique position offering an excellent platform for you to develop your career further. Previous experience and knowledge within the mortgage industry is preferred, but not essential. The Main Duties:

  • A rate opportunity for an experienced mortgage professional to join a very well established mortgage advisory firm in Taunton, Somerset as a mortgage and protection paraplanner.
  • As a mortgage paraplanner you will offer full administrative support to the Company Director, you will assist in undertaking fact finds, researching the mortgages, as well as presenting suitable solutions to the broker to advise the client.
  • Arranging and management of diary of the Company Director.
  • As well as assisting in sourcing suitable mortgages you will also be required to speak to the clients ensuring the smooth running of their mortgage application.
  • Once the client is happy with the recommendations you will be required to package the case together ensuring that all documents are correct and the case is compliant, as well as meeting the company high standards.
Key Skills:
  • Applicants would ideally come from an experienced mortgage professionals including senior sales support, mortgage paraplanners and even mortgage brokers who are long to move into an administrative role.
  • If you do not have the experience noted, if the applicant is motivated to undertake industry related exams and training and is passionate to progress then passion/motivation would be considered over track record ability.
  • Ideally the candidate would hold CeMAP or equivalent – training could be provided to undertake this, depending on the candidate.
